London, November 12, 2019: The Financial Times today announces that its editor, Lionel Barber, will step down from the post at the beginning of next year, ending a 34-year career at the publication. He has held the top newsroom position since 2005.
The Financial Times has hired Mark Di Stefano (@markdistef) as media and technology correspondent, based in London. Di Stefano will join the FT’s media and consumer team led by Alex Barker, global media editor, to cover the intersection of media and technology. He takes up the new role in January 2020.
