In his previous role as director of platforms, Kundert was instrumental in establishing the FT’s data platform, which forms the backbone of an award-winning set of data capabilities. More recently, Kundert held a wider cross platform role, extending his reach to universal publishing and membership. As CTO, Kundert will oversee all areas of technology, ensuring that technical strategies and solutions are aligned with business needs and vision.

Providing essential news, comment, data and analysis for the global business community, the FT has a combined paid print and digital circulation in excess of 800,000. Mobile is an increasingly important channel for the FT, driving more than half of total traffic.
“It was an exciting experience to be a part of the judging process for the second year in a row,” said Michael Skapinker, associate editor of the Financial Times and chair of the judges. “It was an honour for me and our panel of judges to have the opportunity to examine the work of these gifted artists and we are thrilled now to be able to share that talent.”
The winners in each category will be announced at a gala awards ceremony on September 26 in New York City. All shortlisted artists will be invited to attend and winners will receive a $40,000 award. Two runners-up in each category will receive a $5,000 award.
