In September, the FT, in partnership with Brooklyn Brothers, launched News School, a nightly education, mentoring and work experience programme designed to give young people from a variety of backgrounds an opportunity to learn about the news, media and associated creative industries.

The two-week nightly programme culminated in a virtual graduate showcase event on 22 October, in which participating students each prepared a one minute video on why the news industry needed their voice. The aim of News School is to promote greater diversity in the industry and help students to find full-time employment on completion of the course.

Please find a list of the News School 2020 graduates, all of whom actively participated in the programme, and who are now looking for early-career entrance to the news industry.

We want to help them on their path, and we hope that other news organisations feel the same. If you would like to get in touch with any of them, please contact Jacqui Dobson (jacqui.dobson@ft.com).
